For some reason I think that I'm feeling a completely different emotion than everyone else. I loved this quotation and found it completely re-assuring. Maybe it was reading it completely in context that made the difference? He was writing to a new convert and giving him counsel on how to have personal devotions, but cautioned him not to be too concerned if he doesn't feel moved by his readings or his prayer. Then he gives the words quoted above.
I like it. Why is it scary?
